·  How do I score a photo?

You can give a photo a score of 1 through 10 with 1 being the worst and 10 being the best. If you change your mind you can come back and change your score anytime before voting is closed.

·  How are winners chosen?

All registered site users may score entries in the current online contests.

The photos with the highest average scores will be the winners. There will be 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Honorable Mention winners in each category. In case of a tie, joint winners will be announced. Winners of the online competition will be announced and recognized at the club’s monthly meeting. The winning images will also be posted on the web site in Winners’ Albums.

·  How should my photos be prepared?

  • For best viewing, both on the web site and when projected at meetings, images should be sized so that they are 2000 pixels on the longest side.
  • If your image editor allows it, pictures intended for display on the web should be saved using the sRGB color space.
  • Remember that too much compression of .JPG images may result in pictures that are pixelated or lacking critical detail when viewed at larger sizes (such as when projected on the screen at meetings).

·  Can I re-enter an image?

Once an image wins in the Online contest (1st, 2nd, 3rd or Hon. Mention), it is no longer eligible for entry in subsequent competitions. It can, however, still be entered in the Meeting competition (provided it has not already won or placed in a meeting competition) or used as part of a slideshow.
